COMPRESSED
AIR FOAM SYSTEMS (CAFS) |
Compressed
Air Foam Systems extinguish fires four times
faster than water. CAFS deliver a large volume of high
quality foam that is 20 times wetter and up to 5 times more
effective than water for instant and rapid fire suppression.
A 10:1 ration turns 100 gallons of water into 1000 gallons
of fire fighting foam.
TruckCAFS
is a fully self-contained Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS),
packaged in a pickup truck toolbox, that fits comfortably
in all mini and full-sized pickup trucks. This innovative
system uses a patented positive displacement Diafoam pump
and quickly delivers a large volume of high quality foam
for rapid fire suppression. Uncomplicated, easy to
operate, and equipped with a 90 gallon foam solution tank.
Powered by two high or low pressure SCBA tanks, which can
be hot-swapped during operation, the solution tank is capable
of being refilled while the pump is running, allowing for
uninterrupted foam delivery.
Having few moving parts, maintenance is accomplished with
minimal time, effort and expense. Engineered for years
of trouble-free service, the TruckCAFS is a breakthrough
for personal vehicle transported fire suppression, and is
a significant force multiplier for first responders with
limited resources.
PortaCAFS
These portable Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) are versatile,
powerful and highly mobile. They are small and highly
flexible foam-fire suppression systems having numerous fire
protection applications, and easily fit between the wheel
wells of pickups, in small SUV's, or ATV's. Wheels can also
be added directly to the unit.
Fire officers, field foresters, farmers, ranchers, marine
fire specialists, heliport managers, and manufacturing plant
employees will appreciate the versatility and ease of use.
It is particularly adaptable for farm, ranch and
rural fire protection needs, and can easily be mounted on
various types of farm machinery.
A
simple turn of one lever will activate the unit. Upon
activation it automatically produces a powerful projection
of fire suppression foam. This compact system is easy to
recharge. For long life and use, components are powder-coat
painted wherever practical. Other components are stainless
steel, brass or of rust proof materials. Specialized
foams designed for the suppression of petroleum fires and
hazardous spill cleanups can also be used with this system.
Available in 30, 60 & 120 gallon units.
Truck / Trailer Mounted SkidCAFS
Our new slip-on Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) will produce
even more high quality foam for rapid-fire suppression or
structure protection. Uncomplicated and easy to use, these
systems have automatic foam proportioning, drafting and
refill capabilities, swift activation, and are completely
self-contained. Engineered for years of trouble-free service,
they provide unsurpassed fire protection for rural and suburban
homeowners, farms and ranches, resorts and entire communities.
SkidCAFS are a significant force
multiplier for fire departments and remote or rural comminities
with limited resources.
Minimal maintenance requirements, fast activation and economical
to operate. They will outperform similar CAFS sold
to fire departments at a much higher price. 100 to
1000 gallon water capacity depending on vehicle size.
Powered by a screw compressor (gas or diesel) for indefinite
air supply or can be equipped to run off stored air cylinders.
Projects foam up to 75 feet with 1- 1/2" hose line.
Unit is 48" wide by 92" long depending on water tank (fits
standard pickup beds but can be sized smaller or larger).
350 gpm to 900 gpm at 125 psi depending on pump size.
HomeCAFS
This
home fire defense system is a fully self-contained Compressed
Air Foam System (CAFS) that is easily installed by the average
homeowner and is supplied with water from a stored water
tank, swimming pool or spa. HomeCAFS
can quickly deliver a huge volume of high quality foam for
rapid fire suppression or fire exposure protection.
Uncomplicated, easy to operate and powered by two or more
300 cubic foot compressed nitrogen cylinders, this system
is fully self-contained and requires neither electricity
nor any other source of external power to operate.
HomeCAFS produces the same high quality foam used by
today's modern firefighters, and is three to five times
more effective than just plain water. Homes and other
structures coated with Compressed Air Foam before exposure
are more likely to survive.
Always ready for use with minimal attention, the system
is easily activated by turning two valves. Class "A"
foam concentrate is metered into solution with a proportioner
and remains viable for years, resulting in very little if
any wasted concentrate. The safe, biodegradable foam
requires no clean-up after use. Engineered for years
of trouble-free service, the HomeCAFS provides unsurpassed
fire protection and fire fighting ability for rural and
suburban homeowners.
Self-Contained Units
Self-Contained Compressed Air Foam Systems for fire apparatus
have compressed air foam outputs that range from 450 to
1800 gallons per minute. The air/solution ratio is proportioned
automatically by a mechanical system pre-set at the factory
for an optimum expansion ratio of 10:1 at all flow rates
without adjustment of the apparatus. A simple valve changes
this to a 4:1 ratio whenever "wetter" foam is desired.
These are completely stand-alone systems. Our patented Diafoam
pumps are powered by compressed air, thereby avoiding the
need for a source of pressurized water. Only the air compressor
requires power. As a result, the system will function flawlessly
even when the vehicle's primary water pump fails. Diafoam
pumps are positive displacement, require no priming and
can draft up to 20 feet.
The vehicle engine, vehicle transmission PTO, or a separate
gasoline or diesel engine powers the rotary screw compressor.
A compressed air line runs from the air compressor to the
water pump, which can be located anywhere on, or under,
the vehicle. Similarly, the air/solution mixer, foam concentrate
tank and proportioner can each be mounted wherever there
is available space. This allows for more flexibility in
component placement, utilizing available space much more
efficiently than the typical CAFS "brick". Neither the air
compressor nor the pump is adversely affected if the unit
runs out of water. These systems can also be easily run
as a source of compressed air for auxiliary air tools, air
bags or swift water rescue equipment.
Engineered for years of trouble-free service, these systems
are smaller, lighter, less expensive, more reliable and
easier to operate than the previous generation of CAFS equipment.
They are a breakthrough for fire departments desiring state
of the art CAFS equipment.
